Sharhai

The Sharhai is a legendary sea monster only mentioned by Bosun Zarah,[1] Elder Raley,[2] and the Sharhai's purse. Very little is known about it, as it does not appear in-game, but it is supposedly a fearsome monster that sailors have not managed to take down yet. The Sharhai's purse Sea charting object suggests the Sharhai is a shark-like creature, as it resembles a shark egg casing; such casings are sometimes called mermaid's purses. Additionally, the "hai" part of the name resembles the word for shark in various Germanic languages. Taken more literally, the Sharhai's purse may imply that the Sharhai is greedy, as the examine text mentions its "little treasures".

Trivia

  • Spawn sharhai existed in the sailing alpha as a kind of shark monster.
