An exit can be found in the eastern part of the Miscellania and Etceteria dungeon after completion of the Royal Trouble quest. The rope can be climbed-up to arrive at the hole at the back of the Castle of Etceteria. Prior to completion of the quest the rope will not be present and the player will only see the light coming in from the hole above.
