The dark hole in Lumbridge Swamp leads to the members-only Lumbridge Swamp Caves. A rope is required to enter the hole for the first time. A candle seller is nearby to provide the player with candles at a steep price, with the additional risk that they can explode due to swamp gas in certain parts of the caves. The explosions can be avoided by bringing a safer light source instead, such as a bullseye lantern, which will not ignite the swamp gas.
