Arastasia is a character and probable historical figure mentioned in the book Wintertodt parable. A resident of Kourend, she was the daughter of an unnamed lord. Dentristus, a farm hand from her father's farm, loved her.[1] During a harsh winter, the Wintertodt was drawn from the north devouring animals and crops,[2] which caused Arastasia to weep at the fear and distress caused to her people.[3] Dentristus vowed to defeat the Wintertodt, and in exchange the lord offered Arastasia's hand in marriage.[4] However, this would never come to pass as Dentristus was defeated.[5]
