Steam Profile Backgrounds

Profile backgrounds are community items that players are able to earn, buy, or sell on Steam. A player is able to change the background of their Steam profile with these backgrounds when acquired. They became available upon the release of Old School RuneScape's Steam Client on 21 February 2021.[1]

Backgrounds

There are currently 3 backgrounds that are associated with Old School RuneScape.

Trivia

The Nightmare's concept art whose background was reused for the Steam Profile Backgrounds.
  • The background of the images is taken from a piece of concept art that was originally used to introduce the Nightmare at RuneFest 2019.
    • While the Nightmare features on the Steam Trading Cards, it does not have a profile background of its own.
  • The Zulrah background, while titled Zulrah Tanzanite, features the base green form of Zulrah rather than its tanzanite form.
