Terrorbird Guard 21, an engineered terrorbird.

Engineered terrorbirds[1] are terrorbirds that have achieved sapience as a result of Arposandra's experiments. Unlike standard terrorbirds, they are bipedal and capable of speech. They serve Arposandra's gnomish residents, who they refer to as the masters.[2] They are known to inhabit the lower areas of Arposandra, where they perform jobs such as guarding.[3] They lack names, and instead refer to themselves by their occupation and number.[4] While they are supposed to have been created with the inability to sleep, this has been shown to not actually be the case.[2]

The process that creates them is not always successful, and instead often creates warped terrorbirds, which are then dumped into the Poison Waste Dungeon.[5]
