A bookcase can be found on the 1st floor of the Lighthouse. Searching the bookcase allows the player to take from a selection of three books:
- Lighthouse Manual: A manual describing how to maintain the Lightomatic Deluxe 500 on the top floor of the Lighthouse, which the player must repair during the Horror from the Deep quest.
- Ancient Diary: A dairy belonging to Silas, Jossik's uncle, the previous tenant of the Lighthouse.
- Jossiks' Journal: A journal belonging to Jossik, the current tenant of the Lighthouse, detailing his strange accounts.
