The Ancient Shroom can be found in the middle of the Mycelium pool. As Irene explains in her dialogue, taking samples from the pool is almost impossible. This might be related to this mushroom not being in contact with the sample anymore.

Players cannot interact with this shroom, but they can use the hopper nearby.

Trivia

  • The placement and appearance of the Ancient Shroom in the middle of the pool is a likely reference to the mushroom people of the Dark Souls series.
